To ensure our lovelies are perfectly ready for hair and makeup, all of our glam contracts have a tip sheet. It's not just what to do on the day of. You do get that. You also get a timeline of when to book other beauty services like spray tanning, facials, waxing, as well as some tricks we've learned along the way.
Below is a timeline for all things beauty before your big day.
Leading up to your appointment:
- 1 to 3 months out: Book your hairstyling and makeup artist.
- 1 month out: Head to your hair and/or makeup trial with pictures in hand. The more pics you have of the look you want, the easier it will be. You may also need to get other services like hair extensions or color done.
- Have all facials and/or waxing done at least 7 - 10 days prior. You’ll want time to recover from red, irritated, or even burned skin.
- Around 1 week out: Schedule your lash extensions. Or purchase your own falsies to bring to your pro, though they should have some on hand in case.
- At least 3 days before: Book an airbrush tan. Make sure to shave and moisturize before. Do NOT try to get a last minute tan from the sun or a tanning bed. You could be red, in pain, and even peeling which does not allow makeup to be smooth.
- Moisturize your face and lips very well the night before your appointment.
On the big day:
- Exfoliate your skin on the day(s) of the appointment.
- Please wear a white-button down shirt or robe. The white reflects the light and compliments colors we chose for your makeup.
- Come with clean DRY hair. Do not wash your hair the day of the appointment, unless it is very dirty. It will hold better with your natural hair oils.
- If you are having airbrush makeup applied DO NOT use any products such as eye creams, moisturizer, acne medications, etc. on your face on the day of. Airbrush makeup must be applied to a clean dry face.
- Bring your own lipstick and/or lip-gloss for any touch ups needed for event - especially if we will not be staying on-site.
