This is Ruff and here is the backstory of this guy. He was my daughters first dog when she turned 3. After separating from her dad at almost 5 he wanted to fight over the kid and the dog so I gave him to her dad. After 10 years of having him, his life changed and he couldn’t take care of him anymore so he dropped him off with my group in February with the understanding it was only going to be a few weeks. Those weeks turned into months and he was with his little cute self terrorized my presa who is the sweetest angel ever. I had to give him up a second time which not only upset my daughter but destroyed me, honestly he was mine too. Fast forward a couple of weeks he took him to his friends house and they were neglecting him. My daughter received a text that she needed to go say goodbye to him because he was about to die. We showed up there he couldn’t walk, was filthy, shaking, and crying: I left him there that day crying and cried till about 3 in the morning that night. I woke up the next day completely upset still and went my whole day focusing on it. I had to fix this because it was consuming me. So I went and picked him up on Saturday after work, made an appointment at the vet for him, and made the decision if I had to put him down I understood what needed to be done. Monday morning we took him to the vet, he has a heart murmur, was in congestive heart failure, couldn’t walk because of arthritis in his back due to him being dropped on his back when he was five and never getting help. 5 pills, a bath, and me certifying him as an emotional support dog he comes to work with mom every single day now. Everyone loves him at the salon and he is doing so well that you wouldn’t believe where he was two weeks ago. So if you come in to the salon, we have a new member of our team. He slides on the wood floor, snores during the day, and loves to be loved on. Goes to show you everyone has a story. He makes me smile all day, and is he an emotional support dog? Yes! At least for me he is.

"I met my hair stylist with right on time, and she was great! She was one of those ladies who had been doing hair for almost 30 years, but has been able to keep up with the newest styles and trends. I wasn't very good at telling her how I wanted my hair, but she really listened and worked with me."
"Love my girl! Nailed it again. Janelle Alexis Salon got me in last minute, even though she was totally booked up Saturday. My stylist put me in a gorgeous up-do that looked amazing and stayed up all night. Thanks Janelle for making me feel so special!"
"Very nice and personable, she took the time to listen to what I wanted and offered suggestions when I was unsure. Online appointment scheduling is great. Love my cut and color. I highly recommend!"
"I have been going to Janelle Alexis Salon for years. They have highlighted my hair more times than I can count (always amazing, really is a color genius), given me several new and exciting cuts over the years, done chemical hair straightening treatments, deep conditioning treatments and pretty much anything else you can think of. I won't let anyone else near my head with a pair of scissors."
